Ahead of this weekend’s Challenge Laguna Phuket, Challenge Family has announced a change of venue for Challenge Thailand in 2016. Full details will be announced in early December with a new course that is steeped in Thai culture, striking landscapes and history.
“We have very much enjoyed working with the team at Laguna Phuket and would like to thank them for their support over the past few years. Thousands of athletes have enjoyed racing on the tropical island of Phuket and now we’re excited to introduce athletes to a new triathlon destination in Thailand. We very much look forward to revealing more details in the next few weeks,” said Challenge Family CEO, Zibi Szlufcik. “In the meantime, we look forward to celebrating the close of the season with athletes and friends on 29 November at the last Challenge Laguna Phuket in true Phuket style with a strong field of pro and age group athletes and an after-party to beat all after-parties!”
Challenge Laguna Phuket 2015 will feature hundreds of age group athletes, competing along side a strong pro field that includes Michael Raelert (DEU) who this week won the Laguna Phuket Triathlon, Luke McKenzie (AUS), Tim O’Donnell (USA), Radka Vodickova (CZE) and Simone Braendli (SUI) who took out the women’s Laguna Phuket Triathlon title at the weekend.
