Everything is ready to celebrate the second edition of Challenge Paguera Mallorca, this year with the special feature to have one of the best pro fields of the European half distance triathlon.
Tomorrow, Saturday 17 October, spectators at Challenge Paguera Mallorca can enjoy with the long distance debut of the ITU World Triathlon Series runner-up, Mario Mola (ESP). He won't have an easy race, the two last european Championships Filip Ospaly (the current European Middle Distance Champion ETU Championships Rimini 2015) and Giulio Molinari (middle distance European champion ETU Championships Mallorca 2014) will do their best to achieve the victory. Other triathlon legends as Marcel Zamora (five times winner of Nice and five times winner of Embunman) will compete to be made the history in Paguera.
Challenge Paguera Mallorca is not just a triathlon event, it goes further offering all attendees and their families a varied program of activities which started on 14 October and ends on 17 October: Concerts, nights of fire, children's activities, circus and of course, triathlon, are some of the attractions that complement the Saturday's big race.
Showcasing Calvià, Paguera, Mallorca as an ideal training and competition centre in Europe, Challenge Paguera Mallorca will offer European triathletes the best possible closure to the season. Its spectacular setting combines the landscape of the Tramuntana Mountain range with the inland villages of Majorca and the most touristic coastal areas of the island. The varied and attractive course is a mix of testing and fast stretches which combine with the special characteristic terrain of the surroundings
As with all Challenge Family events, there is a full festival programme around the flagship event including Junior Challenge and Challenge Women, plus there is a host of activities for visitors to enjoy, including culture, gastronomy, sport and music.
