The 24th edition of the Stroke & Stride Series will commence in November with the first event in the eight race series.
The world's most popular swimrun series is held each fortnight at Auckland's Mission Bay through the summer months with events comprising a sea swim followed by a road run along Tamaki Drive. There is $80,000 in prizes including $10,000 prize money to be won through the season.
Last season it was twenty-two year old Simone Ackermann winning the Series title for an incredible fourth time tying her with the great Megan Dalton (nee Robertson) who dominated these events in the early 1990's. The men's championship went to Nick Berry and if he is successful in defence of his title this season he will be the first male athlete to repeat since 2008 during the Brent Foster era.

For the first time in many years all the events will be held at the single venue however they will again be contested over a variety of distances with swims between 500 metre and 1000 metre while runs are between 3 kilometre and 5 kilometre.
The first event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14 with a 6.15pm start time. Then four months later the final will be held on Tuesday, March 26th and this event will double as the 2013 New Zealand Swimrun Championships.
